Policy Holder Service

As a result of the passing of the new Policy Holder Service Regulation (Instruction GE-20/2014), the Practical Guide to Procedures, published in November, 2012 must be adapted to the new Regulation.

With this Guide, the idea is to facilitate access to the Policy Holder Service for affected persons in order to present claims against final decisions reached by the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros and for complaints referring to irregularities or unjustified delays in the processing of the compensation documents by the management units of the aforementioned Entity.

In this way, the framework of the policy holders' powers of action is completed in relation to the processing of accident claims occurred due to extraordinary events that are initiated with the communication of the damages caused directly by the policy holder him or herself or through his or her insurance company or insurance broker. They are developed using the damages valuation process carried out by the insurance expert for damages using the principles of professionalism, objectivity and speed and they conclude with the payment of the corresponding compensation or with the dismissal of the compensation claim.
