From the moment they start up their activities in Spain, insurance companies are obliged to collect the surcharges and pay them to the Consorcio.
Insurance companies must appoint a representative for the purpose of declaration-settlement of the compulsory surcharges who will be the contact person with the Consorcio.
The representative will be a member of the collection system once the data mentioned in the annex of the Resolution of March 27, 2018, are registered in the file of representatives of insurance entities held by the Consorcio itself.

The insurance company will be responsible for informing the Consorcio and reliably demonstrating, with sufficient notice, of any changes that have taken place in their representatives for the purpose of declaration-settlement of the surcharges.
