The 19th issue of Consorseguros Digital magazine is online21/12/2023

Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (CCS) has just published its 19th issue of the Consorseguros Digital Magazine (www.consorsegurosdigital.com/idioma/en).

We devote this issue in remembrance to the 40th anniversary of the, until today, highest loss event in CCS's history: the floodings of August 1983 in the Basque Country. In this regard, this issue counts with contributions reviewing that event from their insurance, hydrological and meteorological viewpoints, that include the repercussions and lessons learnt for each of these stakeholders. We round off this issue with a study of the loss ratios of natural perils included in the Extraordinary Risk Insurance in Spain, with our customary case law contribution and with the review of the book Disaster Insurance Reimagined.
