Registration Required Insurance
Preliminary note: the content of this register is currently in full development phase, so that it is permanently completing daily or weekly as new information existing insurance for registration is received.
Mandated Insurance Registry (MIR) contains updated information on existing compulsory insurance in Spain, whether state level or a particular Autonomous Community, and the specific legal provisions governing them.
The purpose of this MIR is purely informative.
The information collected by the MIR at all times, regarding compulsory insurance which consist enrolled in the same and the information on each of them is reflected, is strictly referred to the MIR until that time by the various relevant bodies state or regional administration.
The Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (CCS) is legally responsible for the management of the MIR. In his capacity as manager thereof, the CCS establish each year a report on the contents of the MIR to include, on the one hand, lists of compulsory insurance sorted by different criteria (date of entry into force; activities which require the legal status of the rules governing them; compulsory insurance and state or regional level) and, secondly, changes during the year (new insurance, insurance modified, and deleted insurance).
MIR information is public, refers to compulsory insurance in force at all times, and can be accessed by clicking the " Log Access " below these clarifying explanations. To facilitate access to information, in addition to the generic access to the same CCS has provided various search criteria such information, such as , among others , the state territory or autonomous Community of insurance, the activities for which these are required or dates of entry into force thereof.
The legislation governing the MIR is constituted by the second additional provision of Law 20/2015, of 14 July, management, supervision and solvency of insurance companies and reinsurance companies; for the first additional provision of Royal Decree 1060/2015, of 20 November, implementing the Act; and Resolution of 18 December 2015 of the General Insurance and Pension Funds Directorate (GIPFD), by which the content of the MIR is specified, the procedure and the specifications of the information to be sent to the (GIPFD).
