How can I justify the existence of the insurance policy until I receive the contract documentation?
In accordance with the legislation in force (article of the Regulation for Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance and Driving insurance for motor vehicles, RD. 1507/2008), the validity of the compulsory insurance will be confirmed by the agents of authority by consulting the Insured Vehicles Database.
Failing this, the validity of the insurance will be accredited by the receipt for the payment of the premium for the period in progress, whenever it contains, at least, the identification of the insurance company, the vehicle registration number, the cover period and indication of the compulsory insurance cover.
Therefore, we recommend that, in order to make the receipt arrive as fast as possible, you indicate the means by which you prefer it to be sent (fax, email, etc.) and that, once you receive it, you should pay it immediately at the BBVA or at the Banco Santander, given that with the receipt stamped by this Bank, you have the document that justifies the existence and validity of your insurance.
