On the one hand, the name of at least two private insurance companies from which you have requested the Vehicle Insurance and which have communicated their refusal to contract it (article 5.2 of the Regulation for the Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance for motor vehicles).
The rest of the data that will be requested is indicated in the documents stated below; therefore they should be kept at hand. It is very important that you should have them in front of you when you are going to contract the insurance, since as has been mentioned above, it is essential that the details you provide are correct, as they are the ones that will be recorded on the contract.
Documents in which the necessary data is included:
- Identification document of the policy holder, of the owner and of the driver (Fiscal Identification Number or Code, Residency Permit, Passport, etc.). The person who is going to sign the contract must have the legal capacity do so (full legal age).
- Driver's licence or permit corresponding to the vehicle to be insured.
- Vehicle Registration Document.
- Certificate of the Technical Characteristics of the Vehicle on which the up to date Vehicle Technical Inspection (MOT) is recorded.
Likewise, in the case of contracting the insurance electronically it is essential to have an electronic certificate or electronic Identity Card and a bank card with which to pay the premium.
