SURCHARGE DECLARATION SYSTEM
The surcharge declaration system that came into effect on the 1st of January, 2019 will be exclusively carried out using the new SIR system from the 1st of July, 2019. Declarations may still be made through the collaborating banking entities during the transition period, although this will not be operational from the end of June, 2019 onwards.

LEGISLATION AND SPECIFICATIONS
The Surcharge Information System (SIR, for the Spanish) came into operation on the 1st of January, 2019. The documents that establish the applicable legislation may be found under this heading. There is particular interest in: (i) The generation of historical files for the participating entities in the transition period (version 5 of the specifications of the data interface), and (ii) the specifications for Environmental Damage that will also be declared by the SIR system (version 1).
