As these are aftershocks following seismic activity in the same area from mid-August 2026 onwards, if you have already submitted an earthquake compensation claim and have been issued with a file number, you should not submit a new claim on the grounds of any potential worsening of damage caused by this event, or the discovery of new damage; any such damage will be incorporated into the assessment of the claim currently being processed.

However, you may update your existing claim by adding new documentation and/or photographs to the file via CCS website (Online claim check).

Any claims for damages submitted that duplicate an existing file will be closed on the grounds of duplication, and the original file will continue to be processed.
